What Can We Do To Help God?

“I will rescue my people from the land of the rising sun, and from the land of the setting sun…They shall be my people, and I will be their God, with faithfulness and justice.”

Our One Minute Wisdom for Today, May 22, 2015:

wisdom 052215

After Jesus had revealed Himself to His disciples and eaten breakfast with them, He said to Simon Peter,

“Simon, son of John, DO YOU LOVE ME MORE THAN THESE?”  Simon Peter answered Him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”  Jesus said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

He said to Simon Peter the second time, “Simon, son of John, DO YOU LOVE ME?”  Simon Peter answered Him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.”  He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, DO YOU LOVE ME?”

Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to Him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”  Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.  Amen, amen, I say to you, WHEN YOU WERE YOUNGER, YOU USED TO DRESS YOURSELF AND GO WHERE YOU WANTED; BUT WHEN YOU GROW OLD, YOU WILL STRETCH OUT YOUR HANDS, AND SOMEONE ELSE WILL DRESS YOU AND LEAD YOU WHERE YOU DO NOT WANT TO GO.”

He said this signifying by what kind of death He would glorify God.  And when he had said this, He said to him, “FOLLOW ME.”

– From the Gospel of John 21: 15-19

*How will we answer Jesus asking us 3X if we love Him?

*How will we respond if we are told to tend His lambs?

*Are we ready to go to places we do not want to go to?

Our One Minute Wisdom for Today, April 02, 2015 (Holy Thursday)

wisdom 040215

He came to Simon Peter, who said to Him, “Master, are you going to wash my feet?”

Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing, you do not understand now, but you will understand later.”

Peter said to Him, “You will never wash my feet.”  Jesus answered him, “Unless I was you, you will have no inheritance with me.”

Simon Peter said to him, “Master, then not only my feet, but my hands and head as well.”

Jesus said to him, “Whoever has bathed has no need except to have his feet washed, for he is clean all over; so you are clean, but not all.”

For He knew who would betray Him; for this reason, He said, “Not all of you are clean.”

So when He had washed their feet and put His garments back on and reclined at table again, He said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you?  You call me ‘teacher’ and ‘master’, and rightly so, for indeed I am.  If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet.  I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.”

– From the Gospel of John 13: 1-15

*  Would we like Jesus to wash our feet?

*  Are we among those who not only want Jesus to wash them with water but also His blood?

*  Are we ready to serve and wash others feet?

Busy?  Can you spend a minute for God’s Wisdom today?

“The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.  Amen, amen, i say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit.

Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life.

Whoever serves me must follow me, and where I am, there also will my servant be.

The Father will honor whoever serves me.  “I am troubled now.  Yet what should I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’?  But it was for this purpose that I came to this hour.  Father, glorify your name.”

– Jesus in John 12: 20-33

*Do we love our own lives so much that we forget to love others?

*Are we willing to follow and serve like Jesus?

*Do we glorify the Fathers name in all our accomplishments?

Saint for today:

St. Lea, pray for us.

Serve more,

Brother Mo
