YOU HAVE ASSURANCE

i will be with you

In today’s first reading (Jeremiah 1: 1, 4-10), God again overrules Jeremiah’s objection that he is too young and is not gifted as an orator to become a prophet by the words “I WILL BE WITH YOU.”

God reassured with the same words many great figures of the Old Testament who were overwhelmed by God’s plans on them:  Joshua, Gideon, Solomon, Johanan, the people of Israel, Zerubabel, Mary, Paul and the Church.

GOD DOES NOT CHANGE. All of us are charged by Him with a great mission.   If we feel unequal to the responsibility He entrusts us with, let us remember that, through it all, HE SHALL ALWAYS BE AT OUR SIDE.

Always remember, He will be with you!

God bless,

Will You Approve?

From the humble Apostle Paul…

020316b

“People refuse to keep in mind the true knowledge about God, he has given them over to corrupted minds, SO THAT THEY DO THE THINGS THAT THEY SHOULD NOT DO.

They are filled with all kinds of wickedness, evil, greed, and vice; they are full of jealousy, murder, fighting, deceit, and malice.

They gossip and speak evil of one another; they are hateful to God, insolent, proud and boastful; they think of more ways to do evil; they disobey their parents; they have no conscience; they do not keep their promises, and they show no kindness or pity for others.

THEY KNOW THAT GOD’S LAW SAYS THAT PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THIS WAY DESERVE DEATH.  YET, NOT ONLY DO THEY CONTINUE TO DO THESE VERY THINGS, BUT THEY EVEN APPROVE OF OTHERS WHO DO THEM.”

(Romans 1: 28-32)

YOUR CHOICE: MANNA OR BREAD?

Our One Minute Wisdom for today, April 23, 2015

wisdom 042315

Jesus said to the crowds:  “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draw him, and I will raise him on the last day.  It is written in the prophets:  They shall all be taught by God.  Everyone who listens to my Father and learns from Him comes to me.  Not that anyone has seen the Father except the one who is from God; he has seen the Father.”

“Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.  I am the bread of life.  Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die.  I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is My Flesh for the life of the world.”

-From the Gospel of John 6: 44-51

Reflections:

  • Is eternal life in paradise part of our goals?
  • How do we plan to achieve that goal?
  • Have we accepted Jesus as the way to getting there?
